Kualapu‘u – Lo‘i: February 11 - 12, 2016

The students at Kualapu‘u School had the chance to learn about lo‘i, engineering, and the purpose of water flow at Ka‘amola, Keawanui, Moloka‘i. From making huewai out of natural materials to constructing mini-lo‘i out of straws and pvc pipes, the students were able to practice their engineering skills and their ancestral knowledge of lo‘i building.
