S.T.E.A.M. Family Day at Windward Mall - August 29, 2015

The Mālama ʻĀina Foundation was pleased to join the “Got S.T.E.A.M. Fun Family Day” at Windward Mall on Saturday, August 29th. These are photos of the Mini Waʻa activity that students and their parents participated in during the event. Students designed, built and floated, their wa ‘a in salt water and fresh water to see if there was a difference in the amount of mass their mini wa’a could contain before sinking. Students learned about mass, weight and density. It was an excellent day and we look forward to more community participation in the future so keep an eye out for S.T.E.A.M. activities around our state. You never know, we may be there too and you can come join all of the fun!!!!
