Kamaile Academy – Wai‘anae - O‘ahu – Parent Day: July 8, 2016
Throughout the summer school program at Kamaile Academy the students have documented their studies and activities. The focus of this year’s studies was upon physical science and how it relates to the Wai’anae area of O‘ahu and Hawaiian culture. The students participated within research and activities that included physical science, Hawaiian culture, sustainability, and environmental pollution (human and natural) as presented by Mr. Chase Cabana and the Mahope program. The culmination of the student’s summer program was the parent day. This is where the students had an opportunity to present their work and findings to their parents and guardians in demonstrations and interactive activities. In addition, the parents and guardians were invited to a student presentation by the entire student population (elementary and middle school) attending the Kamaile summer program.
