What is the Blue Water Exchange?

BWE is a six-month Capstone experience designed to nurture the next generation of leaders in conservation and environmental fields. BWE provides a unique opportunity for young professionals aged 20-30 to immerse themselves in new environments, foster connections with diverse cultures and indigenous communities, explore various career paths and broaden their perspectives through profound dialogues about our society's most critical challenges.

Blue Water Exchange Program Overview

Goals: Cultivating environmental global change-makers by connecting multi-dimensional perspectives, ultimately bettering the world.

Objectives: Cultivate new environmental leaders by bridging environmental perspectives through cultural land stewardship experiences, travel, and deep dialogue creating a network of like minded individuals.

  • We provide diverse cultural experiences, travel, and intentional conversation exposing people to environmental issues, awareness, and careers.

  • We create space where people can be heard, process new information, and reaffirm their passion.

  • By comparing and contrasting current environmental issues, bridging cultural understanding, and exploring land management practices, we create an understanding of self, ancestry, and purpose.
