2006 Island of Hawai‘i Workshop

On April 29, 2006, we had our first Island of Hawai‘i workshop which took place at Keaukaha Elementary School in Hilo. There were teachers attending from Kanu ‘o ka ‘Aina New Century PCS, Kua ‘o Ka La PCS, and Ke Kula ‘o ‘Ehunuikaimalino. This one day workshop included math lessons using the TI-84 Plus graphing calculators, science lessons on a reef transect survey conducted on dry land, and cultural presentations by Big Island residents as well as our own cultural specialists.
