KLC Laupahoehoe: June 19, 2019

In partnership with the U.S. Department of Forestry, the Mahope Program hosted fifty Keaukaha students on a field trip to Laupahoehoe. During this field trip, students learned about the importance of protecting the uplands and how it impacts our oceans. They also participated in some weeding and maintenance of a nursery for a variety of ‘ōhia phenotypes.
