Jan E. Hanohano Dill, Chairman of the Board,
is a Native Hawaiian and has been involved in educational activities in the Native Hawaiian community for more than 24 years. He has spearheaded many successful new initiatives in the areas of preschool education through adult education. He has been involved in multiple grassroots efforts to promote the welfare of the Native Hawaiian community.
Current affiliations: Weinberg Fellow; advisory committee for the Henry & Dorothy Castle Memorial Fund; advisory board for the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa’s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources; President of Strategic Solutions, Inc.; President and former Chair of Partners in Development Foundation.
Gary A. Glenn, Vice Chair,
has initiated projects, programs and funded activities for the benefit of the Native Hawaiian community since 1988, primarily in the areas of student development, secondary school science and mathematics education, and environmental and marine science activities. He served as project director for two educational programs that have helped teachers in secondary schools with large Native Hawaiian student populations to increase performance in science and mathematics. Under his leadership, seven “culture/science” educational centers were established on the four largest islands in the State of Hawai‘i.

Alison T. Masutani, Treasurer,
has been heavily involved in projects for Native Hawaiian communities since 2003. She works with multiple project managers to oversee the implementation of programs and all related issues including staffing, fiscal needs, quality assurance, and efficiency. She directly manages the Tūtū and Me Traveling Preschool serving thousands of Native Hawaiian 0-5 year old children and their caregivers; this program has become a national model for outreach to native peoples, especially those living in rural and remote areas.

Laura R. Dang, Secretary,
has worked closely with Native Hawaiian communities in Hawai‘i since 2002 to plan, develop, articulate and seek funding for projects and programs of importance to the social and cultural advancement of this community. She has administrative oversight responsibilities for ten programs involving the Native Hawaiian community in areas such as mentoring of Native Hawaiian students, assistance to homeless Native Hawaiian families, and assistance to charter schools to improve the performance of Native Hawaiian students in science and math.

‘Iokepa DeSantos, Director,
recently joined the Board in 2013. As a Native Hawaiian, he has been involved in teaching the Hawaiian language and culture including songs and chants for over 23 years. He is part of a hula halau (group) that performs internationally. He has worked with Native Hawaiian and other at-risk youth in counseling settings and correctional environments. He has been serving as the Hawaiian Cultural Specialist for various programs serving in Native Hawaiian communities since 2007. He provides a strong cultural perspective to the Board.
Current affiliations: Hawaiian Cultural Specialist, Partners in Development Foundation; Hawaiian Language Consultant, Chanter, Musician for the renowned Halau Hula O Kawaili‘ula.
